From the 23 April 2013, Western Australia’s Healthy Workers Initiative will be known as Healthier Workplace WA. It provides a comprehensive range of free support services, tools and resources to assist WA workplaces develop and implement policies and programs that support healthy lifestyle behaviours amongst their employees.
This includes expert advice to develop healthy food and drink policies, encourage the uptake of active transport within the workplace, and support smoking cessation.
The interactive online team based and individual healthy lifestyle programs Get on Track and My Healthy Balance are freely available to all WA workers.
Commencing later in 2013, training opportunities, a small grants scheme and an awards program will further support WA workplaces with their health and wellbeing activities.
The full suite of services and programs are available through the Healthier Workplace WA ‘one stop shop’ website.
